ExxonMobil Launches Angola Project

26 October 2007 16:00

Esso Exploration Angola – a subsidiary of US supermajor ExxonMobil – has begun production at the Marimba North project, which has come on stream ahead of schedule.

The Marimba North project, located 90m off the coast of Angola, is expected to develop 80 million barrels of oil.

Major components of the project include sub-sea wells, a single drill centre, 30km of flowlines and a riser system which links the production flowline into the existing Kizomba developments.

This project will add about 40,000 barrels per day to existing production.
