BP Begins Mango Field Production

20 November 2007 12:06

BP has begun natural gas production at its Mango field in Trinidad, the company has announced.

The Mango field is 35 miles south-east of Galeota Point in water depths of 72m, developed using a single unmanned platform with a capacity to produce from nine wells.

Gas will be exported through a new subsea four-mile 26in diameter pipeline tied into the current Cannonball pipeline and then to the Cassia B gas processing hub.

The field was first discovered in 1971 and further appraised in 2000.

BP Trinidad and Tobago (bpTT) holds a 100 percent interest in the field.
