Aker Kvaerner Wins Norweigan Subsea Deal

Norwegian engineering company Aker Kvaerner has won a Nkr1bn contract to work on Statoilhydro's Morvin field in the Norwegian Sea.

The contract covers engineering, procurement and construction of a subsea production system consisting of two four-slot manifolds, three horizontal subsea trees, steel tube umbilical's, tie-in system and intervention tools.

The Morvin field lies on the Halten Terrace in the Norwegian Sea, located approximately 20,200km west of mid-Norway.

Final delivery for the project is scheduled for May 2009.
