Aker Kvaerner Signs US$75m Deal With Daewoo

Norwegian technology company Aker Kvaerner has signed two contracts worth US$75m with South Korea's Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME).

Both contracts are for the delivery of a complete deepwater marine drilling riser system with buoyancy package and associated equipment.

The drilling systems will be used for a drillship and a semi rig built by DSME.

Delivery is scheduled for 2010.
