Bangladesh Opens Bay of Bengal Bids18 February 2008 12:28 The Bangladeshi Government is inviting international oil companies to bid for 28 oil and gas blocks in the hydrocarbon rich Bay of Bengal. State-run oil company Petrobangla has invited bids for eight shallow water blocks and 20 deep sea blocks, with an exploration area between 3,000kmē and 7,000kmē, writes India's Economic Times.
