WellDynamics Secures North Sea Deal

19 February 2008 14:29

Technology company WellDynamics has won two frame agreements with StatoilHydro to carry out work in the Norwegian North Sea.

As part of the deal, WellDynamics will install electronic Venturi flowmeters and electronic pressure and temperature gauges in StatoilHydro's North Sea installations.

StatoilHydro says the three new frame agreements for downhole monitoring will help in securing access to a broad range of measurement technologies for use in advanced wells to maintain productivity levels on the Norwegian continental shelf in years to come.

The contract, estimated to be worth Nkr1bn, will span over an eight-year period, beginning in the first quarter 2008.
