Shell Buys Australian Gas Assets

Supermajor Shell has bought three exploration permits in the Exmouth basin off the coast of north-west Australia, expanding its Australian gas portfolio.

Shell expects to acquire seismic data on the areas throughout this year and next, while waiting on government approval for the sale.
