ConocoPhillips Abandons Dry North Sea Well

ConocoPhillips has drilled a dry well in its production licence 018 in the North Sea, the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has announced.

The well is located 8km north of the Ekofisk field, and will be permanently plugged and abandoned, writes Reuters.

ConocoPhillips owns about half the licence with partners including StatoilHydro, Total and Eni.
