Petrobras March Output Up

17 April 2008 11:35

Brazil's state-run Petrobras has announced its March output went up by 1.4 percent, year-on-year.

The company's average domestic oil and gas production reached 2,114,089 boe a day in March, down 0.7 percent over February, due to scheduled maintenance shutdowns.

Natural gas production reached nearly 50 million cubic metres per day, a 14.2 percent year-on-year increase.

Petrobras says it expects oil output to rise by about 500,000 barrels this year.
