Gazprom Strikes Iranian Exploration Deal

Russian state-owned energy giant Gazprom has signed a deal with Iran to develop its oil and gas fields and explore energy reserves, according to Iranian media reports.

The two countries have signed a memorandum of understanding and discussions are now underway with Iran's oil minister to turn the agreement into a contract, says National Iranian Oil Company Managing Director Seifollah Jashnsaz.
