05 February 2010

Mechanical services company EnerMech has secured a £10m ($15.85m) deal to supply crane operations and maintenance for Marathon Oil's North Sea platforms Brae Alpha, Brae Bravo and East Brae.

Under the five-year contract, the company will offer Marathon crane maintenance, operator and mechanic crews.

The UK-based mechanical services company will also supply and store crane spare components and lifting equipment inspection services, as well as lifting equipment.

Onshore support personnel and engineering and technical support will also be provided under the contract.

EnerMech MD Doug Duguid said the multimillion pound investment in development of the Aberdeen site facility was beginning to pay dividends.
