Lundin Petroleum has drilled a dry exploration well in the North Sea, the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) said today.
The licence for the well, situated about 40km northeast of the Sleipner oilfields, was shared between operator Lundin Petroleum (40% share), Statoil and Premier Oil, each with 30%.
"The well has been plugged and abandoned," said the NPD in a statement.
