Shares in British gas producer BG Group have risen following market talk about ExxonMobil's interest in the company, traders said.
Although both companies have yet to make a comment on the rumours, traders also said that Indian explorer Oil and Natural Gas Corp could also make a bid for BG Group, Reuters reports.
About 4 million BG shares changed hands by 1057 GMT, against a 90 day daily average of 7.2 million shares, according to Reuters.
