To be managed by IEOC, a subsidiary of Eni, the two blocks are in the shallow waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

The blocks face the Nile Delta and are located south-west of the Temsah area and west of the Baltim area.

In August, Eni made a significant gas discovery at its Zohr Prospect in the deepwaters of Egypt.

The discovery well Zohr 1X NFW is located in the waters of Egypt’s Offshore Mediterranean, at a water depth of 4,757ft in the Shorouk Block.
