"This award draws upon Subsea 7’s substantial experience of delivering projects in the Gippsland Basin over the last 40 years."

Subsea 7 has planned to begin project management and engineering services from its office in Perth, Australia.

Offshore operations are scheduled to start next year. Material offshore operations will depend on the final investment decision of Sole Development Project, which is expected soon.

Cooper Energy previously announced that the Sole Gas Project is now advanced to the final stage before commitment.

The project is expected to be sanctioned this month as the final financing process is currently underway.
