Prosafe is an owner and operator of semi-submersible accommodation vessels. It is headquartered in Larnaca, Cyprus, and listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In December 2016, Total and Petrobras signed an assets package agreement (APA) under their strategic alliance announced in October 2016.

This APA bolsters the joint partnership and cooperation between the two companies, in the upstream and downstream sectors, covering operations, research and technology.

Under this agreement, Total will also become partner to Petrobras in two quality pre-salt licences of the Santos basin: the BMS-11 with the Iara fields currently under development where Total will acquire a 22.5% interest from Petrobras. It addition, it will cover BMS-9 with the Lapa field, which has recently entered production and is where Total will become the licence operator with the acquisition of a 35% interest from Petrobras.
