Preventing winding failure is vital to a long generator life. Kato Engineering’s insulation system helps ensure your generator will last. Kato Engineering has dedicated engineers and testing to ensure the highest quality of its winding and insulation system.

Class H insulation is used on all windings for a compact generator with a long life cycle. For resiliency to repetitive surges and impulses created by inverter fed drives and other spike inducing devices, mica turn-taped magnet wire is used in stators to provide nearly twice the instantaneous surge capacity as glass-covered magnet wire, thus preventing shorted or grounded windings. Kato Engineering’s turn insulation exceeds specifications required by IEEE-522 and IEC 34-15.
