Semco Maritime has signed a contract with the internationally acclaimed pump manufacturer Milton Roy. The deal will make it possible to integrate Milton Roy products into systems produced by Semco Maritime including chemical injection systems for oil production.

“The real benefits of this agreement are that that we have both a technical and a commercial partnership with Milton Roy Company. This means that we have access to their specialised technical support, this agreement also increases our business opportunities in today’s global market,” says area manager at Semco Maritime, Peter Thomsen.

Chemicals are typically injected into pipes where oil is transported in order to reduce deposits, corrosion and other unwanted effects. The injection process needs to be very accurate, hence the need for highly specialised pumps. Milton Roy Company are widely regarded as the market leaders in this field.

“We are extremely pleased to be in a partnership with Milton Roy. The industry has already shown considerable interest in solutions from Semco Maritime with integrated Milton Roy products,” Peter Thomsen explains.

The first order has been placed featuring three chemical injection skids measuring 4.5m by 11m with 40 pumps and weighing about 17t each.
