PTT Maintenance and Engineering Company (PTTME), the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services subsidiary of PTT Chemical Public Company (PTT Chemical), Thailand’s leading petrochemical company, has standardised on Intergraph® SmartPlant® Enterprise solutions, including SmartPlant 3D and SmartPlant Layout, and will implement Intergraph technology as the standard platform for all PTT Chemical plants.
PTTME sought to eliminate inconsistent engineering solutions being used by various contractors on its projects, and decided to adopt an integrated engineering platform to provide accurate and consistent project information. The company has selected and standardised on Intergraph’s integrated suite of SmartPlant Enterprise solutions (including SmartPlant 3D, SmartPlant Layout, SmartPlant Review, SmartPlant Instrumentation, SmartPlant P&ID, SmartPlant Reference Data, Standard Database and SmartSketch®) because it is proven to deliver enhanced engineering efficiency and productivity.
PTTME was also impressed with Intergraph’s extensive industry knowledge and expertise, along with dedicated local distributor support from Intergraph’s partner, Neon Infotech Southeast Asia Company (Neon Infotech).
SmartPlant Enterprise will be implemented enterprise-wide and used for all of PTTME’s future projects. The technology will help PTTME keep an up-to-date record of plant information for PTT Chemical’s plants, and engineers from various disciplines from PTT Chemical will use the Intergraph solutions to carry out detailed engineering work for new projects.
