US-based company Exxon Mobil’s IT hiring increased by 7.6% in July 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 2.65% in July 2021 when compared with June 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 28.18% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2021, and recorded a 0.84% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Exxon Mobil IT hiring in July 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Exxon Mobil, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 60.4% in July 2021, and a flat growth over June 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 14.09% in July 2021, and registered a 10.64% decline. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 12.08% in July 2021, a 21.74% drop from June 2021.
South & Central America drives IT hiring at Exxon Mobil
South & Central America emerged as the leading region in the global oil & gas IT hiring activity in July 2021 with a 40.27% share, which marked a 28.99% drop over the previous month.
North America stood next with 25.17%, registering an 1150% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 21.81% share and a 20.73% drop over June 2021.
In the fourth place was Europe with a share of 12.75% and a month-on-month decline of 7.32%.
Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 27.18% share in July 2021, a 21.36% decline over June 2021. the US featured next with an 18.12% share, up 980% over the previous month.India recorded a 14.43% share, decline of 32.81% compared with June 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Exxon Mobil IT hiring activity in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.47%, down by 10.26% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 25.17% share, a growth of 38.89% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 4.36% share, up 30% over June 2021.
