US-based company PPG Industries’s IT hiring declined 7.9% in June 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.
The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 0.77% in June 2021 when compared with May 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 5% share in the company’s total hiring activity in June 2021, and recorded a 0.25% down over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops PPG Industries IT hiring in June 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by PPG Industries, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 37.04% in June 2021, and a 9.09% drop over May 2021, while Computer Support Specialists claimed a share of 22.22% in June 2021, and registered a 25% decline. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 18.52% in June 2021, a 25% rise from May 2021.
North America drives IT hiring at PPG Industries
North America emerged as the leading region in the global oil & gas IT hiring activity in June 2021 with a 51.85% share, which marked a 46.15% drop over the previous month.
Europe stood next with 33.33%, registering a 50% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with an 11.11% share and a flat growth over May 2021.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 3.7% and a month-on-month an flat growth.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 37.04% share in June 2021, a 33.33% decline over May 2021. Mexico featured next with a 14.81% share, down 63.64% over the previous month.Czech Republic recorded a 14.81% share, an increase of 100% compared with May 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead PPG Industries IT hiring activity in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.37%, down by 36.67% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with an 18.52% share, a growth of 25% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 11.11% share, up 200% over May 2021.
