The largest producers of natural gas in Brazil are Petroleo Brasileiro, Shell and Eneva. Petroleo Brasileiro was the largest producer of natural gas in 2022 with output down by 7% on 2021.
Shell was the second-largest producer, with output up by 2%, and Eneva was third with a decrease of 51% on the previous year.
There are 51 natural gas producing fields in Brazil of which six are located offshore and the rest onshore. The Bahia has the majority of the natural gas fields in the country with 25.
