The largest producers of natural gas in Oman are Government of Oman, BP and OQ SAOC. Government of Oman was the largest producer of natural gas in 2022 with output down by 11% on 2021.
BP was the second-largest producer, with output up by 39%, and OQ SAOC was third with an increase of 31% on the previous year.
There are seven natural gas producing fields in Oman of which one are located offshore and the rest onshore. The Al Wusta has the majority of the natural gas fields in the country with two.
