Absheron is a conventional gas development located in deepwater in Azerbaijan and is operated by Joint Operating Company of Absheron Petroleum. Discovered in 2011, Absheron lies in block Absheron, with water depth of around 1,555 feet.
The project is currently in commissioning stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2022. Final investment decision (FID) of the project was approved in 2017. The Absheron conventional gas development will includes fixed platform.

The field is owned by State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic and TotalEnergies.
Production from Absheron
Production from the Absheron conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2022 and is forecast to peak in 2026, to approximately 13,668 bpd of crude oil and condensate and 469 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2055.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 584.72 Mmboe, comprised of 90.24 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 2,966.88 bcf of natural gas reserves.
