Abu Bukhoosh Conventional Oil Field, UAE

Abu Bukhoosh is a producing conventional oil field located in shallow water in the UAE and is operated by Total Abu Al Bu Khoosh. The field is located in block Abu Al Bukhoosh, with water depth of 157 feet.

An expansion project is associated with the Abu Bukhoosh, namely Abu Bukhoosh Development . This project is currently in the feasibility stage.

Production from Abu Bukhoosh

The Abu Bukhoosh conventional oil field recovered 92.60% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 1976. The peak production was approximately 80 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2040.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 45.92 Mmboe, comprised of 45 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 5.5 bcf of natural gas reserves. Abu Bukhoosh conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.01% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
