Production from Al-Khaleej Gas Project-2
The Al-Khaleej Gas Project-2 conventional gas field recovered 34.21% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2015. The peak production was approximately 48.34 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 1,376 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2078. The field currently accounts for approximately 6% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 1,987.78 Mmboe, comprised of 411.67 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 9,456.66 bcf of natural gas reserves. Al-Khaleej Gas Project-2 conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.68% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
