Alen Conventional Gas Field, Equatorial Guinea

Alen is a producing conventional gas field located in shallow water in Equatorial Guinea and is operated by Noble Energy Eg. The field is located in block Block O, Alen Development Area, and Block I, with water depth of 2,225 feet.

The field is owned by GEPetrol, Glencore and Chevron.


Production from Alen

The Alen conventional gas field recovered 41.39% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2022. The peak production was approximately 3.98 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 440 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2026. The field currently accounts for approximately 14% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 77.43 Mmboe, comprised of 5.16 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 433.66 bcf of natural gas reserves. Alen conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.03% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
