Alen Conventional Gas Field, Equatorial Guinea

Alen is a producing conventional gas field located in shallow water in Equatorial Guinea and is operated by Noble Energy Eg. The field is located in block Block O, Alen Development Area, and Block I, with water depth of 2,225 feet.

The field is owned by Chevron, GEPetrol and Glencore.


Production from Alen

The Alen conventional gas field recovered 33.16% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2022. The peak production will approximately 3.98 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 440 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2024. The field currently accounts for approximately 2% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 78.38 Mmboe, comprised of 4.47 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 443.44 bcf of natural gas reserves. Alen conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.03% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
