Atlanta Heavy Oil Field, Brazil

Atlanta is a producing heavy oil field located in ultra-deepwater in Brazil and is operated by Enauta Energia. The field is located in block BS-4 (Atlanta), with water depth of 5,081 feet.

Two expansion projects are associated with the Atlanta heavy oil field, namely Atlanta Full Development System (FDS) Stage 1 and Atlanta Full Development System (FDS) Stage 2. The expansion projects are currently in the feasibility stage.

The field is owned by Construtora Queiroz Galvao.


Production from Atlanta

The Atlanta heavy oil field recovered 10.75% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2022. The peak production will approximately 24.12 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2046. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 133.84 Mmboe, comprised of 133.84 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate. Atlanta heavy oil field reserves accounts 0.29% of total remaining reserves of producing heavy oil fields globally.
