B15 Conventional Gas Field, Malaysia

B15 is a producing conventional gas field located in shallow water in Malaysia and is operated by SapuraKencana Energy Sarawak. The field is located in block SK 310, with water depth of 250 feet.

The field is owned by Petroliam Nasional, OMV, Sapura Energy and Mitsubishi.


Production from B15

The B15 conventional gas field recovered 52.89% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2021. The peak production was approximately 100 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2036. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 21.89 Mmboe, comprised of 131.31 bcf of natural gas reserves. B15 conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.01% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
