Baanpot is a producing conventional gas field located in shallow water in Thailand and is operated by Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production. The field is located in block B13, with water depth of 217 feet.

Production from Baanpot

The Baanpot conventional gas field recovered 97.03% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2010. The peak production was approximately 3.79 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 70 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2025. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 2.82 Mmboe, comprised of 1.25 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 9.41 bcf of natural gas reserves.
