Balingian is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Malaysia and is operated by RHP (Mukah). The field is located in block SK 331, with water depth of 100 feet.

Three expansion projects are associated with the Balingian conventional oil field, namely D28 Phase 1, D28 Phase 2 and Bayan Redevelopment (Phase 2). The expansion projects are currently in the commissioning and construction stage.

The field is owned by Petroliam Nasional, RH Petrogas and Tumbuh Tiasa Enterprises Sdn.


Production from Balingian

The Balingian conventional oil field recovered 99.24% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 1993. The peak production was approximately 54 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2023.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 1.8 Mmboe, comprised of 1.8 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate.
