Berantai Conventional Gas Field, Malaysia

Berantai is a producing conventional gas field located in shallow water in Malaysia and is operated by Vestigo Petroleum Sdn. The field is located in block PM 309.

Production from Berantai

The Berantai conventional gas field recovered 65.02% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2014. The peak production was approximately 6.03 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 90 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2041. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 27.9 Mmboe, comprised of 8 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 119.41 bcf of natural gas reserves. Berantai conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.01% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
