Bertam is a producing conventional oil field located in shallow water in Malaysia and is operated by International Petroleum. The field is located in block PM 307 and PM 307 (Bertam), with water depth of 190 feet.

Three expansion projects are associated with the Bertam conventional oil field, namely Bertam Development (A15 Sidetrack), Bertam Development (ESP Upgrades) and Bertam Development (Phase 4 Infills). The expansion projects are currently in the commissioning and feasibility stage.

Production from Bertam

The Bertam conventional oil field recovered 64.79% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2016. The peak production was approximately 11.48 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2035.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 11.57 Mmboe, comprised of 11.57 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate.
