Beta Conventional Oil Field, Norway

Beta is a conventional oil development located in deepwater in Norway and is operated by Equinor Energy. Discovered in 2010, Beta lies in block 34/4P (PL 375), with water depth of around 1,230 feet.

The project is currently in feasibility stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2023.

The field is owned by Suncor Energy, Eni, HitecVision and Equinor.

Production from Beta

Production from the Beta conventional oil development project is expected to begin in 2023 and is forecast to peak in 2024, to approximately 11,601 bpd of crude oil and condensate, 6 Mmcfd of natural gas and 1,356 bpd of natural gas liquids. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2057.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 36.91 Mmboe, comprised of 30.83 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 14.82 bcf of natural gas reserves and 3.6 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves.
