Brae South is a producing conventional oil field located in shallow water in the UK and is operated by TAQA Bratani. The field is located in block 16/7a ALL, 16/7b BRAE FIELD, and 16/12a LARCH,BIRCH AND OAK BUT EXCLUD’SYCAMORE, with water depth of 369 feet.

The field is owned by Viaro Energy, Abu Dhabi National Energy, Centrica, JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration and Stadtwerke Munchen.


Production from Brae South

The Brae South conventional oil field recovered 98.49% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 1986. The peak production was approximately 104.4 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 159 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2025.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 5.41 Mmboe, comprised of 5.04 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 2.21 bcf of natural gas reserves.
