C96/97 is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Libya and is operated by Sarir Oil Operations. The field is located in block NC 96 and NC 97 (Area 107).

Production from C96/97

The C96/97 conventional oil field recovered 90.45% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2005. The peak production was approximately 127.51 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 73 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2035. The field currently accounts for approximately 4% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 132.69 Mmboe, comprised of 113.68 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 114.06 bcf of natural gas reserves. C96/97 conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.03% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
