Caofeidian (CFD) 11-6/12-1/12-1S is a producing conventional oil field located in shallow water in China and is operated by CNOOC. The field is located in block Block 05/36.

An expansion project is associated with the Caofeidian (CFD) 11-6/12-1/12-1S, namely Caofeidian 11-6 Oil Field Expansion. This project is currently in the commissioning stage, expected to start in 2021.

The field is owned by China National Offshore Oil, Brightoil Petroleum (Holdings) and China National Petroleum.

Production from Caofeidian (CFD) 11-6/12-1/12-1S

The Caofeidian (CFD) 11-6/12-1/12-1S conventional oil field recovered 67.56% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2007. The peak production was approximately 29.14 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2042.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 50.58 Mmboe, comprised of 50.58 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate. Caofeidian (CFD) 11-6/12-1/12-1S conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.01% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
