Cardenas-Mora Conventional Oil Field, Mexico

Cardenas-Mora is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Mexico and is operated by Petrolera Cardenas Mora SAPI de CV. The field is located in block A-0063-Cardenas.

An expansion project is associated with the Cardenas-Mora, namely Cardenas-Mora Development . This project is currently in the approval stage.

The field is owned by Petroleos Mexicanos and Petrolera Cardenas Mora SAPI de CV.


Production from Cardenas-Mora

The Cardenas-Mora conventional oil field recovered 92.62% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 1984. The peak production was approximately 145.28 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 274 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2041.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 64.02 Mmboe, comprised of 61.93 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 12.54 bcf of natural gas reserves. Cardenas-Mora conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.01% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
