The field is owned by China National Offshore Oil, Tokyo Gas and Shell.


Production from Charlie

The Charlie cbm field recovered 14.77% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2025. The peak production will approximately 233 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2047. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.

The field is expected to recover 188.36 Mmboe, comprised of 1,130.17 bcf of natural gas reserves. Charlie cbm field reserves accounts 4.44% of total remaining reserves of producing cbm fields globally.
