Cheshmeh-Khosh Conventional Oil Field, Iran

Cheshmeh-Khosh is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Iran and is operated by West Oil and Gas Production. The field is located in block Cheshmeh Khosh.

An expansion project is associated with the Cheshmeh-Khosh, namely Cheshmeh-Khosh Development . This project is currently in the approval stage.

The field is owned by National Iranian Oil.

Production from Cheshmeh-Khosh

The Cheshmeh-Khosh conventional oil field recovered 91.63% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2016. The peak production was approximately 72.09 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 418 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2025. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 75.24 Mmboe, comprised of 0.01 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 451.38 bcf of natural gas reserves. Cheshmeh-Khosh conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.02% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
