Cononaco is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Ecuador and is operated by Petroamazonas EP. The field is located in block Block 61 (Auca).

Production from Cononaco

The Cononaco conventional oil field recovered 73.73% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2005. The peak production was approximately 11.07 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2046. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 20.1 Mmboe, comprised of 19.91 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 1.13 bcf of natural gas reserves.
