Coral North is a conventional gas development located in ultra-deepwater in Mozambique and is operated by Mozambique Rovuma Venture. Coral North lies in block Area 4, with water depth of around 8,531 feet.
The project is currently in approval stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2028. Final investment decision (FID) of the project will be approved in 2024.

The field is owned by Korea Gas, Galp Energia SGPS, Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos EP, China National Petroleum, Exxon Mobil and Eni.
Production from Coral North
Production from the Coral North conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2028 and is forecast to peak in 2030, to approximately 3,435 bpd of crude oil and condensate and 450 Mmcfd of liquid natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2097.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 1,165.46 Mmboe, comprised of 45.18 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 6,721.65 bcf of liquid natural gas reserves.
