Cruz De Lorena is a producing unconventional oil field located onshore Argentina and is operated by Shell Argentina. The field is located in block Cruz De Lorena.
Two expansion projects are associated with the Cruz De Lorena unconventional oil field, namely Cruz De Lorena Phase I Development and Cruz De Lorena Full Field Development . The expansion projects are currently in the construction and feasibility stage, targeting start-up during 2021 – 2025.

Production from Cruz De Lorena
The Cruz De Lorena unconventional oil field recovered 9.92% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2022. The peak production will approximately 6.74 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 4 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2043.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 32.65 Mmboe, comprised of 29.97 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 16.09 bcf of natural gas reserves. Cruz De Lorena unconventional oil field reserves accounts 0.04% of total remaining reserves of producing unconventional oil fields globally.
