Dunga is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Kazakhstan and is operated by Maersk Oil Kazakhstan. The field is located in block Dunga.
An expansion project is associated with the Dunga, namely Dunga Phase 3. This project is currently in the approval stage.
Field participation details
The field is owned by TotalEnergies, PTT Public and OQ SAOC.
Production from Dunga
The Dunga conventional oil field recovered 58.17% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2017. The peak production was approximately 14.61 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 6 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2053. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 36.86 Mmboe, comprised of 33.59 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 19.62 bcf of natural gas reserves. Dunga conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.01% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
