Eirin Conventional Gas Field, Norway

Eirin is a conventional gas development located in shallow water in Norway and is operated by Equinor Energy. Discovered in 1978, Eirin lies in block 15/5P (PL 048 E), with water depth of around 397 feet.

The project is currently in feed stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2028.

The field is owned by Equinor and Kuwait Petroleum.

Production from Eirin

Production from the Eirin conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2028 and is forecast to peak in 2029, to approximately 781 bpd of crude oil and condensate, 157 Mmcfd of natural gas and 1,052 bpd of natural gas liquids. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2082.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 42.59 Mmboe, comprised of 1.46 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 235.02 bcf of natural gas reserves and 1.96 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves.
