El Huemul is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Argentina and is operated by Sinopec Argentina Exploration and Production. The field is located in block El Huemul – Koluel Kaike.

Production from El Huemul
The El Huemul conventional oil field recovered 95.76% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 1994. The peak production was approximately 12.97 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 36 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2027.

The field is expected to recover 5.68 Mmboe, comprised of 3.49 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 12.62 bcf of natural gas reserves and 0.09 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves.
