El Romeral is a producing conventional gas field located onshore Spain and is operated by Tarba Energia. The field is located in block El Romeral 2, El Romeral 3, and El Romeral 1.

An expansion project is associated with the El Romeral, namely El Romeral Infill Development . This project is currently in the construction stage, expected to start in 2022.

Production from El Romeral

The El Romeral conventional gas field recovered 82.87% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2004. The peak production was approximately 2 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2059. The field currently accounts for approximately 6% of the country’s daily output.

The field is expected to recover 0.23 Mmboe, comprised of 1.36 bcf of natural gas reserves.
