Elland Conventional Gas Field, UK

Elland is a conventional gas development located in shallow water in the UK and is operated by IOG North Sea. Elland lies in block 49/21a VULCAN EAST, with water depth of around 100 feet.

The project is currently in approval stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2024. Final investment decision (FID) of the project will be approved in 2021. The Elland conventional gas development will involve the drilling of approximately two wells and includes wellhead platform.

The field is owned by Berkshire Hathaway Energy and Independent Oil and Gas.


Production from Elland

Production from the Elland conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2024 and is forecast to peak in 2025, to approximately 25 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2043.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 8.89 Mmboe, comprised of 53.31 bcf of natural gas reserves.
