Equinor records 0.05% decrease in production in March 2020

Equinor recorded a decrease of 0.05% in total oil and gas production to 26,289.92 boe/d in March 2020 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.

The oil and gas production of Equinor declined 39.08% in March 2020 from 43,157.03 boe/d in March 2019.

On a YTD basis, the company’s total oil and gas production decreased by 39.06% from the same period in 2019.

The company’s oil production declined 0.87% to 703.93 bd in March 2020 from the previous month, while gas production declined by 0.02% to 148.37 mmcf/d. On a YTD basis, oil production increased by 447.81% in 2020 when compared with the same period in 2019, while gas production declined by 40.53%. Out of the total oil and gas production in March 2020, oil production held a 2.68% share, while gas production held a 97.3% share.


Looking at the states where Equinor recorded the highest oil and gas production in March 2020, Ohio figured at the top, accounting for a 0.34% share. The company produced 26,200.83 boe/d in the state in March 2020 from the previous month.

On a YTD basis, the company produced 78,602.48 boe/d in Ohio in 2020, recording a decrease of 39.29% from the same period in 2019.



Equinor witnessed the highest oil and gas production in Monroe county in March 2020. Out of all the counties, Monroe county held a share of 99.66% for the firm.

On a YTD basis, the county produced 78,602.48 boe/d for the company in 2020, a 39.1% decrease from the same period in 2019.
