Etame Conventional Oil Field, Gabon

Etame is a producing conventional oil field located in shallow water in Gabon and is operated by VAALCO Gabon. The field is located in block Etame Marin and Etame, with water depth of 452 feet.

The field is owned by Tullow Oil, PetroEnergy Resources, China Petrochemical and VAALCO Energy.


Production from Etame

The Etame conventional oil field recovered 77.59% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2005. The peak production was approximately 18.96 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2029. The field currently accounts for approximately 6% of the country’s daily output.

The field is expected to recover 21.48 Mmboe, comprised of 21.48 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate.
